Restore & recovery

1. 1Open “Deleted files” in the sidebar and hit Restore on anything you regret trashing.
2. 2Files go back to their original folder; if that folder is gone too, they land at the top of My files.
3. 3Trashing a folder trashes everything inside it - restoring it brings the whole subtree back.

1. 1Deleted files are kept for 30 days at every storage tier.
2. 2A nightly cleanup permanently removes anything past its retention window.
3. 3“Empty trash” is immediate and permanent - Merci! asks twice for a reason.

1. 1Forgot your password? Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page - the reset link sent to your email is valid for one hour.
2. 2Lost your 2FA phone? Use one of the recovery codes you saved when enabling it.

Once the trash is emptied or the retention window passes, files are gone for good - we physically delete the blobs.
