Share a slice of your Merci! without giving away the loaf.

Share a file with a link

  1. 1Right-click a file and choose “Share a slice”, pick your options, and create the link.
  2. 2The link lands on your clipboard automatically - paste it anywhere.
  3. 3Anyone with the complete link can download the file; they do not need a Merci! account.

Protect a link

  1. 1Add a password: visitors must type it before they see anything, even the file name.
  2. 2Set an expiry of 1, 7 or 30 days - after that the link politely goes stale.
  3. 3Cap downloads (up to 10,000): the link stops serving once the limit is reached.

Shared-link limits

  1. 1The same sharing controls are available at every storage tier.
  2. 2The server rejects files above the sharing limit for the account before it creates a link.

Manage or kill a link

  1. 1The Shares section lists every live link with its views and downloads.
  2. 2Pause a link to stop it temporarily - visitors see a “gone stale” page until you switch it back on.
  3. 3Delete a link to retire it for good; the file itself stays untouched in your Merci!.
